Sustainability is a continuous process for growth and improvement at our textile design studio. We are trying to apply sustainability principles both to design and production processes where possible. We are committed to creating designs that reflect our values of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and ethical craftsmanship. Our approach prioritises the use of mostly eco-friendly materials, minimizing waste, creating at slower pace and smaller quantities in advance or rather produce by demand and using traditional craftsmanship. We believe that true sustainability goes beyond the product; it extends to the well-being of our team, ensuring safe working conditions and opportunities for growth. By embracing these principles, we not only care for the planet but also honor the hands that bring our designs to life, creating textiles with our partnering companies that are beautiful, responsible and made to last.
MIURIO design studio is dedicated to the creation of distinctive pattern designs for wearable accessories and home textiles by our in-house designers. Our expertise extends to collaborative projects with renowned Estonian artists and painters, transforming their original artwork into sophisticated textile designs. In addition to our design services, we offer print agent services tailored to the needs of fashion and textile designers, as well as contemporary artists. Additionally our textile studio proudly serves as a print agent for silk scarves, exclusively crafted for art museums.
Our collaborations include partnerships in production with esteemed textile companies and skilled artisans, many of whom possess over 30 years of industry experience. Specializing in the niche of silk and wool accessories, we proudly work with family-owned businesses known for their commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
As a fabric print agent, we are proud to share that our producer holds certifications that guarantee sustainable textile printing. These certifications are essential for evaluating the environmental, social, and economic impacts of fabric production, ensuring that the textiles meet high standards of quality, sustainability, and ethical practices. OEKO-TEX® STeP: helps all the companies involved in the production process to act in an eco-friendly, socially acceptable and sustainable way. The certificate allows to show consumers that our producer complies with the highest social and environmental standards throughout the entire supply chain.
OEKO-TEX 100 is a label for textiles tested for harmful substances. It sets the benchmark for textile safety, from yarn to finished product. Every item bearing the STANDARD 100 label is certified as having passed safety tests for the presence of harmful substances. More info here.
GRS (Global Recycle Standard) provides for the issue of a third party verified environmental statement which proves: the content of recycled materials of their products (both intermediate and finished), compliance with environmental and social criteria in all of the production chain.
Organic Content Standard (OCS) applies to any non-food product containing 95-100 percent organic material. It verifies the presence and amount of organic material (yarn) in a final product and tracks the flow of the raw material from its source to the final product.
These certifications are more than just labels; they represent our commitment to sustainable and responsible production. They guide our fabric manufacturers to prioritize environmental, social, and economic considerations in their production processes. Moreover, these certifications assure consumers that the fabrics they choose are not only of high quality but are also produced with care for the planet and its people.
Our silk scarves’ producer and fabric print factory has own dyehouse. From the weaving to the finishing point, all processes are done in-house. In production strict quality control standards are applied. One product is checked at two different points.
Production of silk scarves with your own design
We have been manufacturing silk scarves and shawls for over 6 years, and the technologies and production quality of our digital printing partner allow our customers to fulfill their ideas and create unique, high-quality products according to their taste and target group. We have produced over 2,000 silk accessories. Our clients include several ministries, art museums and large businesses.
Carefully selected tones and high-quality printing on the fabric make the product unique and special. We can also offer a digital printing service for larger quantities of scarves (300 pcs +) at a cheaper price. Our partner has a production capacity of 60,000 silk accessories per month.
It is possible to design business gifts for your partners, accessories for uniforms with your own brand identity or order capsule collections (print your artwork) for your customers. It is also possible to find solutions for other products within the special order. For example, if you want a silk dress with a unique pattern, we can print the fabric for it.
